Shri Kesarimalji Paliwal was born on 29th Sept. 1921. He was the eldest son of smt.Gomatibai and Shri Ratiramji Paliwal. His father was a vendor. He was a landlord and had own land of about 150 acres at Parseoni and Bhandara. He was born in a well known & disciplined family. His childhood was spent in a business family due to which he would have got a good job or he would have become a good businessman but due to his love for the nation, he did not opt for any of it. At that time the freedom revolution was going on due to which he felt that if the country was suffering at the hands of Britishers how could he live happily without doing anything for the motherland.
At that time leaders like Mahatma Gandhiji, Sardar Vallabhabhai Patel, Netaji Subhashchandra Bose, Pt. Jawaharlal Neharu, Sant Tukadoji Maharaj were fighting for the country, this had a great impact on the young and an active Kesarimalji Paliwal. He felt that he should also do something for the sake of nation.
At the age of seventeen, he got himself involved in the freedom movement. He was the leader of the “BHARAT SEWAK SAMAJ” organization. He felt sympathy for the untouchables, backward classes, handicap, illiterate and orphans. He studied the human physiology and the down trodden people.
He was always thinking about the freedom of India for which he remained underground and helped the freedom fighters. He participated in the “Quit India Movement” in 1942. He was sent to prison at that time. His popularities increased during that period. And so people started calling him “KAKAJI” with love and affection.
After becoming India free, he established many social organizations. He studied the need of people in his region and established organization according to the need of the people. He joined “BHARAT SEWAK SAMAJ”, NON ADICTION CENTER and helped the people. |
